Responsibilities

The following duties are typical of the position but are not all encompassing. Each person is expected to help out in whatever duties are required to deliver a quality product on schedule and within budget in a team environment.

  • Assists in creating preliminary design layouts and developing design concepts under the guidance of the job captain.
  • Assists in preparation of technical specifications for furniture, fixtures, and equipment and prepares FFE schedules and keyed plan.
  • Participates in meetings with product vendors to understand material specifications, update catalogs, and gain insights into industry products for design projects.
  • Prepares finish schedules and color schedules.
  • Prepares sketches and assists in preparation of specifications for built-ins, custom casework, and furniture to suit design requirements.
  • Research cost estimate data.
  • Collaborates with the job captain to perform space planning tasks, gaining valuable experience and guidance in the process.
  • Has occasional client contact.
  • Works under frequent supervision of Sr. Interior Designer or Job Captain. Work effort is occasionally spot-checked during progress and reviewed upon completion.

Qualifications

What You Will Bring:

  • Bachelor´s Degree in Architecture or Interior Design required.
  • Two or more years of experience in Interior Design, including practical design and drafting experience in a professional setting.
  • Prevailing architectural software experience preferred (Sketch Up, Auto Cad, Revit, Photo Shop, Lumion).
  • Experience with Commercial projects such as Hospitality, Healthcare Centers, Corporate Buildings, Schools, Mixed use buildings, Airports, Restaurants, Malls, etc.
  • Advanced English level
