We are seeking a Structural Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a Structural Engineer at SSOE, you will collaborate with fellow Structural Engineers, engineering designers, and Project Managers to develop innovative solutions for intricate and challenging designs, incorporating the latest design methodologies while ensuring adherence to specifications and timely project completion.

Our Structural Engineer will be responsible of conducting structural analysis, and producing detailed construction drawings for state-of-the-art industrial and high-tech manufacturing facilities for the world’s leading high-tech companies. Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit software is essential for developing accurate and comprehensive structural drawings.

Responsibilities

 

The following duties are typical of the position but are not all encompassing:

 

 

  • Perform analysis and calculations to ensure the structural integrity and safety of designs, considering various load conditions and requirements under the supervision of a Sr. Engineer, Section Manager or Project Manager.
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate structural components efficiently into overall facility design.
  • Design and model using AutoCAD and Revit software for 2D and 3D modeling to create accurate and detailed structural drawings of new structures and retrofitting of existing structures. Ensure that all design elements are accurately represented.
  • Develop detailed structural designs and layouts for high-tech and industrial facilities. This includes creating conceptual designs, performing structural analysis, and producing detailed construction drawings, while adhering to industry standards and regulations.
  • Generate detailed construction drawings that include precise dimensions, materials, and specifications, adhering to company/project standards and local building codes.
  • Create comprehensive construction packages including specifications, bill of materials, and technical documentation for fabrication and construction teams
  • Evaluates, selects, and applies standard engineering methods and techniques on work of small projects or on portions of larger projects.
  • Receives instructions on specific assignment objectives, complex features, and assistance in deriving possible solutions to unusual problems.
  • Reviews work with supervisor to ensure the application of sound engineering practices and professional judgment.
  • May supervise, coordinate, and direct the work effort of designers on the same project with some responsibility for checking his/her portion of the completed drawings.

 

Qualifications

  •  

    What You Will Bring:

    • Bachelor Degree in Engineering as Civil Engineer, Structural Engineer or Master´s Degree in Structural analysis or Structural design.
    • With one to seven to ten (7 - 10)  years of related practical experience with former employer(s)
    • Advanced english level
    • Experience with AutoCAD and Revit software for structural design and drafting is required. Experience with Plant 3D, Bluebeam, Navisworks, or other related software systems is a plus.
    • Knowledge of associated building codes, seismic design principles/requirements, and experience applying them to real-world projects.
    • Demonstrated knowledge or experience with designs containing steel, strut, and/or related structures.
    • Experience with Industrial Projects or related to semiconductors Industry (Structural engineering design). Other related experience such as designing racks, steel supports, plugins to manufacturing machines, conveyor lines, steel structures, etc.
