The following duties are typical of the position but are not all encompassing. Responsibilities include those required to deliver quality service on schedule and within budget in a team environment.

• Evaluates, selects, and applies standard engineering methods and techniques on work of small projects or on portions of larger projects.
• Receives instructions on specific assignment objectives, complex features, and assistance in deriving possible solutions to unusual problems.
• Perform structural analysis and design of steel, concrete, masonry, and (where applicable) wood structures for industrial and high‑performance facilities.
• May develop and review design calculations, models, and drawings for:
  • Building frames and foundations
  • Equipment foundations, pipe racks, platforms, mezzanines, and support structures
  • Structural modifications to existing facilities
• Apply relevant building codes and standards (e.g., IBC, ASCE 7, AISC, ACI, local codes).
• Work as part of a multi‑discipline project team (architectural, mechanical, electrical, process, civil, etc.) to coordinate structural requirements and interfaces.
• May contribute to quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) reviews for structural deliverables.
• Reviews construction documents (plans, sections, details, specifications).
• Support the development of structural design criteria and basis‑of‑design documents.
• Reviews work with supervisor to ensure the application of sound engineering practices and professional judgment.
• May write portions of specifications and assist in preparing cost estimates.
• Performs design work on CADD.

• What You Will Bring:

   

  • Bachelor´s degree in Civil engineering, with a structural emphasis (or quivalent).
  • Six to ten (6 - 10) direct years of experience in same activities / responsabilities.
  • Experience with previous industrial/manufacturing building project experience. Data center and/or pharmaceutical building experience.
  • Proficiency with structural analysis and design software such as ETABS, SAP2000, STAAD, RAM, RISA or similar.
  • Experience with building codes and standards such as: IBC, ASCE 7, ASIC, ACI (an others as applicable).
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD.
  • Advanced English.

   

  Desirable Skills: 

   

  • Experience with structural work on mid- to large-size projects.
  • Familiarity with BIM workflows and multi-discipline model coordination.
  • Working knowledge of Revit for coordination and markup.
