Overview

SSOE, a U.S.-based architecture and engineering firm, is seeking a Strategic Content Manager to lead the development, execution, and optimization of integrated content and campaign strategies that elevate brand awareness, strengthen market presence, and advance the firm’s strategic growth objectives

 

This role balances exceptional writing and editorial excellence with the ability to act as a strategic marketing partner to internal clients. The ideal candidate is both a compelling storyteller and a thoughtful strategist—someone who can collaborate with business leaders to define campaign goals, develop clear and differentiated messaging, and determine the most effective mix of distribution channels to reach key audiences. 

 

The Strategic Content Manager works closely with executive leadership, business developers, and marketing colleagues to shape campaigns from concept through execution, ensuring alignment with business objectives while delivering consistent, high-quality content across platforms.

Responsibilities

Duties & Responsibilities

The following duties are typical of the position, but are not all encompassing. Responsibilities include those required to deliver quality service on schedule and within budget in a team environment.

  • Partner with internal clients—including business leaders, account managers, and business developers—to understand objectives and translate them into cohesive content and campaign strategies.
  • Translate firmwide marketing strategies and priorities into actionable content plans that define:
    • Key messaging
    • Target audiences
    • Recommended channels and tactics
    • Measures of successDevelop high‑level messaging frameworks for key initiatives, markets, and service offerings to guide campaign execution and content creation.
  • Lead the development and distribution of priority content that supports business objectives, including:
    • Thought leadership
    • Integrated digital campaigns
    • Website and landing page content
    • Social media and paid promotions
  • Manage campaigns from concept through execution, including hands‑on content creation, collaboration with internal teams, and coordination of internal external support resources (including agencies, graphic designer, video editor, and web developer).
  • Ensure internal stakeholders are equipped to effectively leverage campaign messaging and content in support of business development and growth.
  • Manage sponsored content and paid campaigns, reporting on performance, analytics, and effectiveness.
  • Continuously evaluate and refine campaigns and content initiatives to improve quality, reach, engagement, and measurable impact.
  • Contribute to the development and ongoing refinement of the marketing business plan to ensure alignment with corporate strategy.
  • Collaborate closely with the Marketing Communications Manager to ensure consistent corporate messaging and brand standards.
  • Utilize AI and other digital tools, as appropriate, to support campaign planning, content development, and distribution.

 

Qualifications

 

 

 

What You Will Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field or equivalent industry experience
  • 6 –10 (six to ten) years of experience in marketing or communications
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills, with a strong portfolio of content across multiple formats.
  • Demonstrated experience partnering with internal clients to develop integrated campaign strategies
  • Experience managing multi‑channel campaigns across digital, web, and social platforms
  • Strong understanding of content distribution best practices, social media strategy, and copywriting. 
  • Ability to simplify complex, technical concepts into compelling marketing narratives
  • Advanced English.

Desirable Skills: 

  • Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud (especially Photoshop and InDesign)
  • Experience leading campaign strategy in a matrixed or professional services organization
  • Experience developing messaging for executive and technical subject‑matter experts
  • Experience within the Architecture, Engineering, or Construction industries or another professional services or highly technical industry
