This Marketing position is responsible for providing graphic design, video and multimedia production, and front‑end web support for SSOE’s marketing, communications, and related business activities. The incumbent will design and produce visual materials for print and digital channels; develop and edit multimedia content, including video; and create and update custom web pages within the company’s existing website structure and templates. The position will collaborate with stakeholders in the Mexico and US and will interact with external vendors and third‑party web developers and marketing agencies.

Responsibilities

 

 

Essential Job Functions

The following duties are intended to describe the general nature and level of work performed. They are not intended to be an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, duties, and skills required of this position. 

 

Graphic Design

  • Conceptualizes, designs, and produces print and digital materials, which may include brochures, flyers, one‑pagers, proposals, qualifications packages, presentations, trade show graphics, posters, signage, and related items.
  • Applies and maintains SSOE brand standards, templates, and visual guidelines across all assigned materials.
  • Develops custom illustrations, icons, infographics, and layouts to visually communicate technical, architectural, and business information.
  • Prepares print‑ready files and coordinates with print vendors as required, including providing specifications, reviewing proofs, and verifying quality.
  • Ensures that all graphic design deliverables are accurate, consistent, and aligned with project requirements and schedules.

Video and Multimedia Production

  • Plans, designs, and produces short‑form video and multimedia content to support marketing, recruitment, internal communications, and corporate initiatives.
  • Edits video content, including incorporating titles, captions, lower thirds, simple motion graphics, transitions, and audio elements.
  • Optimizes video files for various uses and platforms (e.g., website, intranet, social media, presentations, events), considering appropriate formats, resolutions, and file sizes.
  • Collaborates with internal stakeholders to obtain raw materials (e.g., photos, video footage, screen captures) and transforms them into cohesive multimedia deliverables.
  • Maintains organized archives of multimedia projects, source files, and final deliverables.

Web and Digital Design (Front‑End within Existing Site)

  • Designs and builds custom pages and landing pages within SSOE’s existing corporate website, using established templates, structures, and brand standards.
  • Implements approved designs using HTML and CSS within the current site framework and content management system (CMS).
  • Updates page layouts, images, calls‑to‑action, downloadable resources, and related content, in coordination with relevant stakeholders.
  • Coordinates with third‑party web development partners for complex technical changes, back‑end development, or integrations, including providing design specifications, assets, and feedback.
  • Ensures consistency of look and feel, usability, and basic accessibility across assigned web pages and digital assets.
    Optimizes images and multimedia content for performance and display across devices and browsers, in line with internal guidelines and industry practices.

Collaboration, Communication, and Administration

  • Collaborates with Marketing, Business Development, Human Resources, technical staff, and other internal stakeholders to understand project objectives and requirements.
  • Participates in project planning, status, and review meetings, which will most often be conducted in English, and presents design concepts and deliverables as requested.
  • Provides guidance to internal clients on appropriate and effective use of graphics, multimedia, and web layouts to support communication goals.
  • Manages multiple concurrent assignments, prioritizes tasks in accordance with business needs, and meets required deadlines.

 

Qualifications

 

 

What You Will Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field or equivalent industry experience
  • 3 – 5 (three to five) years of experience in graphic design, with demonstrable work in both print and digital media
  • Experience implementing designs using HTML and CSS with an existing website structure and/or templates
  • Experience working with content management system (CMS) to update content and page layouts
  • Proficiency in standard office productivity tools (e.g., email, word processing, spreadsheets, presentation software).
  • Advanced English.
  • Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator for image editing, illustration, and web graphics
  • Adobe InDesign for print layouts and multi-page documents
  • Adobe Premier Pro and/or Adobe After Effects (or comparable tools) for video editing and motion graphics

Desirable Skills: 

 

  • Experience within the Architecture, Engineering, or Construction industries or another professional services or highly technical industry
  • Experience in a busines-to-business (B2B) or professional services enviroment.
  • Familiarity with principles of search engine optimization (SEO) and web usability
