In this role, you will contribute to the design and development of complex industrial and commercial projects while working alongside engineers, architects, and multidisciplinary project teams. The Structural Designer interprets design intent and translates it into completed working drawings while applying established design principles and discipline standards.

The following duties are typical of the position but are not all encompassing. Responsibilities include those required to deliver quality service on schedule and within budget in a team environment.
Develop and prepare structural design drawings, models, and construction documents.
Translate design concepts and engineering direction into completed working drawings and project deliverables.
Utilize Revit to develop complex structural models, ensuring high levels of accuracy, data integrity, and cross-discipline coordination within the BIM environment.
Compile project data, perform quantity take-offs, and assist in the preparation of cost estimates.
Perform routine design calculations and prepare layouts for review by the responsible engineer.
Develop project details, evaluate design alternatives, and support project execution.
Apply discipline-specific design standards, codes, and best practices.
Coordinate work with other engineering and design disciplines to ensure project consistency and quality.
Support the review and processing of shop drawings and vendor submittals.
Assist with material and equipment research and provide technical information to support project specifications.
Participate in continuing education and training to maintain knowledge of current technologies, software, and industry trends.
